Joni Smith is a multi-faceted fine artist residing in the West Knoxville area of east Tennessee. She graduated from Winthrop College in 1984, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and has been experimenting with many different art and crafts mediums through the years. She started painting murals in 1997, in Etowah, Tennessee. She has painted nurseries, bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and outdoor areas. Her designs range from fun and stylized to realistic. Each mural is custom designed after meeting with the client and seeing the space to be painted.
Joni also enjoys working with polymer clay, designing jewelry, and creating mixed media art. She works in abstract and with realistic subjects. Her latest series focuses on wild birds. A portion of this series can be found for sale at "Bliss Home" in Knoxville, Tennessee.
